The Quiet Figure
This blog communicates the graphic remembrance of human intimacy -- the life drawings and portraits of William MacDonald.
It represents the expression of the visual relationship between an artist and his models as well as the attempt to extend that expression into the viewers' world. The relatively small size of the original works and the general sensitivity of rendition enables the models to address us in their "inside voices."
This is a gentle invitation to listen intently -- with our eyes.
